The family of Mary Denise Lands is asking for citizens in our community, and nationally to sign this petition in order that we might soon have "Justice for Mary."
The Marshall Police Department has failed to thoroughly investigate Mary’s case, and as recently as March 13, 2007 Chief Mike Olson told the media, "I don’t know if this case will ever be solved?" Clifford & Anita Marshall, and I know it can be solved if Chief Olsen would do the job he is supposed to do! Chief Olson is paid $65,352 in salary, his health benefits are $829.18 per month, dental benefits are $44.59, and his life insurance is capped at $50.000.00 while employed for the City. He serves at the pleasure of the City Manager. He is very well compensated as Marshall's, "Top Cop", and it is about time he learn how to be one.
The purpose of this petition is to ask that the primary jurisdiction of the Mary Lands case be turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. If Chief Olson can’t solve the case, another agency with the resources, ability and desire can bring Mary home, and hold the person/s responsible for her disappearance and murder accountable in a court of law.
